Sarah began riding at a young age as a birthday gift from her grandmother. What started as weekly lessons quickly become a lifestyle. Hungry for involvement in the sport, she started mucking stalls and doing chores for a local barn after school when she was 11. Daily chores evolved into riding and training opportunities, leading her up the levels of the sport. While pursuing a BBA in Finance at Georgia State University, she worked as a rider and assistant for Janet Salem and Lauren Kissel at Patchwork Farm in Atlanta. After college, Sarah began her career as a show jumping groom to satisfy her desire for travel and to know the sport at the highest levels. For nearly a decade she's worked as an FEI level show jumping groom, most recently for Irish team rider Andrew Bourns.
Sarah's journey with yoga and movement began during college. She initially realized the huge physical benefits and how it improved her feeling in the saddle. Quickly, she realized the spiritual and personal development journey that comes along with a regular movement practice. She practiced yoga on and off for several years before taking the leap to pursue her 200 hour teacher training in summer 2020. In summer 2021 she traveled to Italy to complete her 500 hour teacher training and soon after began collecting numerous certifications to enhance her teaching and knowledge of the mind and body. Now, Sarah combines a variety of modalities to provide dynamic movement coaching and recovery techniques for riders looking to optimize their bodies and support their longevity in the saddle.
